Santosa Wellness Center aims to be the principle location for health, wellbeing and energy in Phuket. In addition to the various fasting and detox programs, we open our doors to outside guests who would like to experience the center’s fitness and wellness facilities, and may be visiting or living in Phuket. Santosa’s aim is to build a wellness community, and our state of the art facilities provide the perfect hub to do just that.

We welcome guests to our pavilion to start the day in the best possible way. Clear your mind and work on your flexibility or work up an appetite, increase your heartrate, tone up and burn some fat with some of the best trainers of the island, in our strength and conditioning or cardio classes.

After lunch the floor opens to a wide variety of exciting programs such as TRX, aerial yoga and Zumba, to name but a few. We also have an educational program where you can learn how to cook raw, vegan and vegetarian food or participate in the meditative Eastern practice of meditation.

The fluid, gravity-defying twist on yoga shows how we can learn to fly whilst relieving compressed joints and re-aligning the body with the use of a yoga swing. The practice uses graceful, trapeze-like movements which sometimes seem like acrobatics. A wonderful way to do inversion poses, aerial yoga really is an innovative fitness trend, and we are so proud to be the only center in Phuket offering suspended movement in every direction along with stimulation of the organs, muscles and bones.

Olivia is effervescent with positivity and love, and this is reflected when practicing this ancient art with her. It explains why ‘bliss’ yoga is such a popular class at Santosa… who wouldn’t want to leave a class like Buddha… tilting your head back and laughing at the sky, with the added bonus of flexibility, a clear mind and supple, sinewy muscles. The foundation of this wonderful class is core. As you develop your core strength you develop stability throughout your entire torso. When the trunk is properly stabilized, pressure on the back is relieved and the body is able to move freely and efficiently. The six Pilates principles? Centering, control, flow, breath, precision and concentration.

Ever wondered what it would be like to find a user friendly way to learn the basics of samba, salsa, hip hop and other international movements? Zumba provides an enjoyable way to discover your inner beat, and explore your creativity through freedom of movement in a friendly group environment. We do not consider Zumba a class, it is a fitness party! Making exercise fun, the dynamic Latin-based dance workout has taken the fitness world by storm. Vibrant and energetic, an hour of serious cardio passes by in such a flurry of colourful smiles, that it doesn’t feel like exercise at all!

High-octane step aerobics classes provide several fitness benefits including cardiovascular and muscular endurance. By utilizing both upper and lower body movements simultaneously, coordination and agility is improved, and the constant push up onto the step increases leg strength.
