Privacy notice
This notice explains what happens to the information you send us through this website. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
Who we are
Santosa Phuket, also known as Santosa Detox & Wellness Center, is responsible for the personal data described in this notice. Our contact details are at the end of the page.
What we collect
When you send a message through the contact form we receive your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and your message. With each message our server also records the date, your IP address and browser type, to protect the form against abuse. If you tell us about your health, diet or medication, we receive that too, because we need it to advise you properly.
When you book a treatment, a day program, the steam room and ice bath, a colema or a restaurant table through our booking form, we also receive the service, date, time and number of people you choose, your phone number, whether you are staying with us, and any notes you add. We use these details only to arrange and confirm that booking, and they are recorded in the same way as messages.
Room and package bookings are made through Sirvoy, our booking engine. Sirvoy collects your booking and payment details and passes the booking to us so that we can prepare your stay.
Why we use it
To answer your message, prepare and manage your stay, and keep the site secure. We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to third parties for marketing.
Who sees it
Only our team, and the providers that run services for us: our web and email hosting, and Sirvoy for bookings. They process your data on our behalf and for no other purpose.
How long we keep it
Messages are kept while we need them to answer you and to follow up on your stay, and are then deleted. Booking records are kept for as long as Thai accounting and tax rules require. Health information is used to advise you on a program and is not kept longer than that purpose needs.
Cookies and third parties
The pages of this site set no cookies and load their fonts, images, styles and scripts from our own server, with no third-party trackers or advertising. Two exceptions: the booking page loads the Sirvoy booking engine, and the map on the contact page loads Google Maps only when you click it, so nothing is sent to Google before that.
The Journal, our blog, uses cookies, including Google Analytics to understand how articles are read. A banner on every page lets you accept or reject them, and the same choice applies across the site; to change it, clear the cookies for this site in your browser and the banner will ask again. Links to Tripadvisor, WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram take you to those services, where their own terms and privacy policies apply.
Your rights
Under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act, and the GDPR if you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can ask what we hold about you and receive a copy, have it corrected or deleted, object to or limit how we use it, and withdraw your consent at any time. Write to [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to Thailand's Personal Data Protection Committee or to the data protection authority where you live.
A note on medical advice
Our programs support wellbeing; they do not diagnose, treat or replace medical care. If you are managing a health condition or taking medication, please speak to your own doctor before travelling, and tell us so that we can advise you honestly.
