Yin Yoga consists of passive floor postures that are held for time periods of up to five minutes. The postures mainly work the lower part of the body including the hips, pelvis, lower spine and inner thighs. Generally, time spent in these postures is much like time spent in meditation; calm and relaxing as the postures are held for a longer time.
